The Creamery offers a free look at a small museum and views of the working factory floors. What a wonder of the snacking world this place is. Definitely worth the stop to visit and have some tasty goodness. After words we stopped an got ice cream, everything is reasonably priced, just be prepared for the crowds, oh and their soda fountain is all real on the tap sodas and great choice of flavors from classic root beer, vanilla cream soda and many others. After we ate we did the self guided tour which was cool, like I said a lot different from when I was a kid, but pretty cool to see how milk is made into cheese. But still great place, we had lunch and if you love cheese then try their Mac n Cheese OMG, some of the best I have ever had, and the deep fried cheese curds are amazingly tasty, their grilled cheese is also delicious quick service and friendly staff. We were here on a Monday and it was crazy packed, plenty of parking (think they could pave the whole lot with as much money as they take in from the tourist. On our way to Portland from Lincoln City we decided to stop and take the kids to see how the process and make cheese, wow this place has changed since I was a kid and they used to take us here in field trips in elementary school. Would have appreciated knowing that ahead of time. The only negative thing I could possibly say was that the young server who took our order asked us what side we wanted with our grilled cheese and told us choices: we selected the tomato soup and then found an “up charge” of $3.00 to our bill when we looked at the receipt. Great layout of self tour of working factory and friendly staff. If I lived there, I would frequent often. The retail area had very reasonable prices and a wide selection of food and branded merchandise. We didn’t try the ice cream - we were too full from the shared savory dishes we tried. The tomato soup was also good with chunks of soft cheese mixed into the soup. The grilled cheese was well done with high quality cheese - not greasy and oily. The spicy Mac and cheese was shared and had meat and cheese with large noodles. We tried the spicy Mac and cheese, grilled cheese sandwich, and tomato soup. Also offered is a restaurant where they serve food and ice cream. When traveling highway 101 we randomly stopped at this experience- this is a free attraction that allows you to tour a live factory and gives you free samples of cheese. to score your free grub.Good experience, plenty of free parking, great food. That means two things: 1) The Bunk Truck will be parked outside Providence Park near the Civic Taproom, and 2) Tillamook Cheese is partnering with them to offer free Tillamook grilled cheese bites and Tillamook Cheese snacks. It's also a home game for the Portland Timbers. GRILLED CHEESE - Sunday April 12 is National Grilled Cheese Day, dont'cha know. And it's free to ticket holders while supplies last. They settled on Salted Honey Ice Cream with Almond Brittle, which will be available in both scoop shops starting on Friday. In the film, a character played by Amanda Seyfried creates an ice cream company, so the movie's promoters asked Ruby Jewel to create an actual ice cream to tie in with the fictitious flavors. Why should you care? Because if you go, you can trade in your ticket for free ice cream at Ruby Jewel. RUBY JEWEL - The com-dram (is that a genre?)
